Isabella Philips

BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—On May 31, 2025, at approximately 2:00 PM, local authorities were alerted to a potential lead in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 17-year-old Isabella Philips, who went missing from New Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania, on May 30.

Reports indicated that a suspect connected to her disappearance was believed to be at a nearby fast-food restaurant.

Officer Wireman quickly responded to the scene and collaborated with a Pennsylvania investigator to interview the suspect.

During this interview, it was determined that the suspect had traveled to Pennsylvania specifically to pick up Philips.

In light of this information, the Mansfield office of the FBI and an agent from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) were notified and promptly arrived to provide additional support in the investigation.

Later that evening, at approximately 9:30 PM, Phillips was found safe just outside Bucyrus, Ohio, at the residence of the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Bucyrus Police expressed gratitude to the Ohio BCI, FBI, and Crawford County Sheriff’s Office for their crucial assistance in the successful recovery of this endangered missing teen.
