MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion Area Chamber of Commerce proudly launched the 34th class of Leadership Marion! on Friday, September 12, 2025. This year’s group of 30 participants marks another step forward in continuing a tradition that began in 1991 of developing and connecting leaders who make a lasting impact on Marion County.
Leadership Marion! is a 10-month program designed to deepen participants’ knowledge of the community, strengthen leadership skills, and inspire engagement. Each class works together on a community project that addresses a need in Marion and leaves a tangible mark on the area. These projects have ranged from initiatives in education and health to community beautification and nonprofit support—each one strengthening ties between the business community and local residents.
Graduates of Leadership Marion! are highly sought after for service. Over the years, many organizations and nonprofit boards have turned to the Chamber to recommend alumni when filling board and committee positions. This ongoing partnership has helped ensure that Marion’s leadership pipeline remains strong, well-rounded, and committed to positive growth.
“The goal of Leadership Marion! has always been to cultivate leaders who understand our community’s assets and challenges and are prepared to step up,” said Heidi Jones, President . “We’re proud to see so many alumni shaping Marion’s future on boards, in business, and in community service.”
