MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Marion Goodwill Industries celebrated a major milestone on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, with a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Headquarters and Outlet Store, a key part of the organization’s strategic growth plan.
The new facility, located at 1315 Delaware Avenue in Marion, will house Marion Goodwill’s administrative offices, a retail outlet, and expanded operations designed to better serve residents throughout the region.
The event brought together a broad coalition of community leaders, local and state officials, and project partners to mark the start of construction. Attendees included representatives from project partners such as Dublin Building Systems (builder), First Citizens National Bank (financing), Makeever & Associates (civil engineering), and Rhythm Architecture (architectural partner).
Marion Goodwill acquired the existing building and surrounding property in 2023. This expansion is designed to allow the organization to expand services, create new employment opportunities, and strengthen its mission of empowering individuals through the power of work.
“This groundbreaking is more than just the start of a construction project—it’s a symbol of our ongoing commitment to the people we serve,” said Michelle Roberts, President & CEO, Marion Goodwill. “This new space will allow us to provide more opportunities, resources, and hope to our community.”
Construction is slated to begin soon, with a projected completion date in August 2026.
