MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Motorists traveling through Marion County this weekend face a temporary closure on a section of U.S. Route 23 southbound, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 6 announced.
Effective at 9 p.m. Friday, November 21, the U.S. 23 southbound mainline at the State Route 231 interchange will be closed for the entire weekend. The roadway is scheduled to reopen at 6 a.m. Monday, November 24.
Detour Information:
One lane of southbound traffic on U.S. 23 will be maintained during the closure by routing traffic onto the SR 231 interchange on- and off-ramps. Traffic on SR 231 itself will also be maintained throughout the work period.
ODOT reminds drivers that all work is weather permitting and subject to change.
