MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Aqua has issued an official statement regarding the detection of organic compounds in the water supply servicing the Marion water treatment plant this past Saturday.
In response, operators took immediate action by adjusting the plant’s intakes to source additional water from the system’s wells, alongside modifying the treatment process to address concerns about taste and odor reported by residents.
To ensure public safety, Aqua has ramped up its water sampling efforts and confirmed that the water quality adheres to all state and federal regulations. Residents are advised that the water remains safe for consumption and that there is no need for boiling or any other precautionary measures.
