MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion County Sheriff’s Office administration office will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, in observance of New Year’s Day.
Sheriff Matt Bayles announced that all administrative operations, including concealed handgun lens (CHL) and Webcheck fingerprinting services, will be suspended for the holiday.
Normal business operations are scheduled to resume Friday, Jan. 2, 2026. Administrative doors will reopen at 8 a.m. to handle public records, background checks, and permit services.
Emergency services and law enforcement patrols will remain fully operational throughout the holiday. Bayles and his staff extended their wishes for a happy and safe New Year to all Marion County residents.
