MASON, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Kings Island announced it plans to hire 5,000 seasonal associates as it prepares for the April 18 opening of its 2026 season.
The recruitment effort is part of a broader week-long initiative by parent company Six Flags Entertainment Corporation to fill more than 50,000 positions across its North American properties. Available roles at the Mason-based park include ride operations, food and beverage, safety and security, and aquatics.
“Our associates are instrumental in providing the best experience for our guests each year,” said Tony Carovillano, Kings Island park manager. “With the debut of our new Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare dark ride, it’s an exciting time to be a part of the Kings Island team.”
Pay for most positions starts at $14 per hour, with specialized roles offering up to $21 per hour. Benefits include free park admission for employees and friends, flexible scheduling, and discounts on food and merchandise.
The park will host an on-site hiring event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 14–21 at 6300 Kings Island Drive. Additionally, recruiters will be present at the Cincinnati Mayor’s Career Expo at TQL Stadium on Feb. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., where eligible candidates may receive same-day job offers.
Applicants who complete the onboarding process by Feb. 21 will receive an invitation to an exclusive “Casino Night” event featuring professional games and prizes. Interested candidates can also apply remotely via the park’s “Rapid Hiring Program” at visitkingsisland.com/jobs.
The 2026 season will feature the debut of Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare, an interactive dark ride where guests use “spellbound flashlights” to capture musical spirits.
