MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will hold two public information sessions on Thursday, March 12, to discuss the ongoing study of a proposed bypass connecting US 23 to I-71.

The meetings, scheduled from 12–2 p.m. and 5–7 p.m. at the Marion County Fairgrounds Coliseum, will follow an open-house format. Marion County Commissioner Kevin Davidson noted that the project, currently in the study phase, aims to alleviate traffic congestion in the Delaware area by routing a new corridor through southeast Marion and Morrow counties. While no funding has been secured, local officials have raised concerns regarding property impacts and emergency vehicle access.
