MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion Palace Theatre has announced the return of local favorite Shovel City Improv for a one-night engagement on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.
The troupe, known for its quick-witted performances and heavy audience interaction, provides a completely unscripted experience. Because the show’s direction is driven entirely by audience suggestions, no two performances are identical.
Organizers describe the event as a fast-paced night of spontaneous comedy suitable for families, friend groups, or unique date nights.
General admission tickets are priced at $23, with premium seating available for $33. Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased at the Marion Palace Theatre box office, located at 276 W. Center St., by phone at 740-383-2101, or through the theater’s official website.
Theater officials issued a cautionary note regarding ticket security, advising patrons to purchase exclusively through official channels. The Marion Palace Theatre stated it cannot be held responsible for invalid tickets purchased through unauthorized third-party sellers.
