CALEDONIA, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—There’s no place like the stage this April as River Valley High School prepares to transport audiences straight into the Land of Oz.
The familiar journey down the Yellow Brick Road is coming to life as River Valley High School presents its spring musical, The Wizard of Oz.
The production will take place over three performances: Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 19 at 2 p.m.
Based on the classic story by L. Frank Baum, the musical follows Dorothy and her unforgettable companions as they travel through the Land of Oz in search of courage, heart, and a way back home. Audiences can expect well-known songs, colorful costumes, and a cast of students who have been working hard to bring the story to life.
School productions like this highlight the talent and dedication of local students while giving the community a chance to come together and support the arts. From the performers on stage to the students working behind the scenes with lighting, sound, and set design, the show reflects a true team effort.
