MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—MARCA Industries Inc. is partnering with three Marion County organizations to offer free document shredding events for community residents.

“Take Back, Spring Clean and Shred Day” is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at the OhioHealth Marion Medical Campus, 1050 Delaware Ave. in Marion. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Marion County residents can drop off paper items for shredding.

Each resident is limited to four boxes of paper items, size 15 inches by 12 inches by 10 inches. Please make sure that all paperclips, binder clips, and staples are removed from papers being dropped off for shredding.

Goodwill will accept items for recycling, including flat-screen TVs and monitors (made within the last 5 years), cellphones, computers, printers, CDs, DVDs, cables, mice, clothing, shoes, jewelry, household items, kitchenware, books, tools, linens, curtains, and towels.

Expired and unused prescription and over-the-counter medications can be dropped off for proper disposal.

Partners for this event include Goodwill, Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention, Crawford-Marion ADAMH Board, OhioHealth, Marion Public Health, MARMET Drug Task Force, Aqua, and the Delaware-Knox-Marion-Morrow Solid Waste District.

Marion Public Library and MARCA Industries will co-host the Spring Shred Day for disposal of personal documents from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 2 on the library’s campus at 445 E. Church St. in Marion. This event is free and open to Marion County residents only.

Residents can drive in and volunteers and staff will unload boxes and bags. Please make sure that all paperclips, binder clips, and staples are removed from papers being dropped off for shredding.

United Federal Credit Union is partnering with MARCA Industries to offer a free community shredding event on Friday, May 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the bank’s campus at 116 Eastlawn Dr. in Marion.

Marion County residents can drop off personal documents which will be securely disposed of by staff from MARCA Industries. Please make sure that all paperclips, binder clips, and staples are removed from papers being dropped off for shredding.
