SANDUSKY, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Cedar Point, globally recognized as The Roller Coaster Capital of the World®, is gearing up for its 2024 season with a massive hiring blitz. The amusement park aims to hire 7,000 seasonal associates in preparation for its May opening.

The hiring blitz, scheduled for Feb. 17-24, will take place online and at the Cedar Point Recruiting Center in Sandusky. The park plans to fill the majority of these roles during this week-long event.

Cedar Point offers a wide variety of positions, including ride operators, food and beverage staff, lifeguards, security personnel, hotel staff, maintenance workers, and many more behind-the-scenes roles. The hourly pay for these positions ranges from $13 – $17, based on experience, prior service, and position.

“Cedar Point’s mission is to make people happy, and our associates are key to delivering memorable experiences for our guests from all over the world,” said Carrie Boldman, vice president and general manager of Cedar Point. “Whether they’re interacting with guests or managing backstage operations, there’s an opportunity to play an important role in making people happy.”

In addition to competitive wages, Cedar Point provides numerous benefits and perks for its associates. These include discounts, reward, and recognition programs, exclusive associate-only events, ride nights, on-site housing for those who qualify, and free admission to any Cedar Fair park.

Cedar Point will also host in-person job fairs throughout the week at the Cedar Point Recruiting Center, located at 2210 1st St. in Sandusky, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Interested candidates will have the opportunity to apply, interview, and potentially get hired the same day.
