MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Logos Christian Ministries, a beacon of faith and community in Marion, has opened its Wellness and Fitness Campus to the public. The campus, which debuted last fall, is now in full swing this spring, offering a variety of amenities designed to promote healthy living.

Located at 582 Lee St., adjacent to the main church facility, the campus features a 1/8-mile long walking track, a basketball court, a gazebo, two fire pits, and several benches. According to Pastor Jackie Peterson, the facility aims to provide a peaceful and welcoming environment for families, youth, and adults.

“You can sense God’s peace and presence while exercising, fellowshipping, or simply spending time in prayer on the campus,” says Rev. Peterson. “Our vision is for the campus to be a place of peace and comfort.”

The Wellness & Fitness Campus was made possible through a partnership with the Marion Community Foundation, OhioHealth, and Marion Public Health. As the weather improves, the campus is already seeing use by neighborhood youth and families.

Plans are underway to further enhance the facility, including the addition of exercise classes, permanent fitness equipment, and a bike rack. The church also plans to host a community “back-to-school give-a-way” in the fall, and a health fair featuring Ohio Health’s Mobile Mammography unit.

In addition to these developments, the church’s fresh produce pantry has been relocated to the wellness and fitness campus. The pantry is open on the third Saturday of the month from April through December, providing a vital resource to the community.

The Wellness & Fitness Campus is open to all, free of charge, reflecting Logos Christian Ministries’ commitment to fostering a healthy, safe, and peaceful community.B
