MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)— Kingston Residence of Marion is set to host the 12th Annual Boomer and Senior Expo on Friday, May 24th from 11am-2pm. This free event, held at 464 James Way, has become an annual community tradition that many look forward to. Hundreds of seniors are expected to attend and enjoy a day of fun, food, and fellowship.

The Expo’s theme this year is “Honoring Hometown Heroes.” A special ceremony will be held at noon, featuring a gun salute and taps by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard, the singing of the national anthem and “God Bless America,” and a speech by Dr. Mark Davis, Marion County Commissioner. WBCO/WQEL, CrawfordCountyNow.com, and MarionCountyNow.com will be doing a live radio remote. The Marion County Red Cross will assist with parking and transporting seniors.

Expo Features and Attractions

The Expo will feature 60 vendors providing products, services, and valuable information for boomers and seniors. Attendees can look forward to the Rolling Dutchman Donut Truck from Der Dutchman, a free lunch from Foundations Health Solutions Food Truck, a Riverside ice cream social, door prizes, and many giveaways. Special appearances will include the Marion County Sheriff and Senior Celebrities. Live presentations will be provided by Mimi Balloons and Artist Jackie Pennington.
