MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), a Bible-centered organization committed to reaching out to children with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, is celebrating 50 years of local ministry. The organization, which worked with over 25 million children worldwide last year, is planning to expand its reach in the 2024-2025 school year.
“For over 80 years, God has been using CEF to bring the love of Jesus Christ to children around the world,” states Cheryl Lee, Local CEF Coordinator. “The Word of God puts a high priority on children. They are near to God’s heart and we believe that He is uniquely concerned about their spiritual welfare.”
This school year, CEF has been working with children through local Good News Clubs, JYC Clubs, and Party Clubs in city and county schools. The organization is present in all Marion City, Marion County, and North Union SD elementary schools.
This summer, CEF is teaming up with local churches and individuals to share the Good News in neighborhoods and parks where children live. “Without the foundation of a relationship with God and training in Biblical principles for life, children are unequipped to face what life will throw at them,” Lee adds.
CEF’s next goal is to get teams into the Middle Schools as quickly as possible to teach these children about God’s love for them and the gift of salvation that only Jesus offers. Mike Todd, the local Chapter Director, is looking forward to explaining the JYC curriculum at an upcoming Q & A session.
Those interested in learning more about the Child Evangelism Fellowship are invited to attend an information breakfast meeting at Cornerstone Alliance Church, 2010 Marion Marysville Rd (St Rt 4 South), on Thursday, May 23, from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
