Michael James Langdon, age 60, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Mike was born on February 26, 1964 in Marion, Ohio to William James Langdon and Doris Jean (Dillinger) Langdon, both deceased. Mike lived in Westerville, Ohio with his surviving partner of 24 years, Robert “Rob” Wilkeson. He was the youngest of 6 siblings. Surviving siblings are Linda K. Langdon of Lakeview, OH., Janet I. (Langdon) McCrery (Phillip) of LaPorte, IN., William (Scott) Langdon of Marion, OH., and Sue A. Langdon of Marion, OH. Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Penny J. Langdon of Marion, OH. Mike has 3 nephews, Phillip (Brent) McCrery, Brian William McCrery (Jenny), and Daniel Scott Langdon (Sarah), as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Mike graduated from River Valley High School in 1982 and from Marion Technical College in 1984 with an Associates Degree in data processing. His career after college led him to several distinct roles in the IT industry, including Programmer, Project Manager,, and finally Consultant-Delivery Leader working at Nationwide Insurance Co. in Columbus, OH. for 19 years. He was highly successful and well respected in his field.

In Mike’s younger years he enjoyed bowling and playing tennis. Mike was an Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed cheering them to victory. He was a wine connoisseur, enjoyed camping, boating, and socializing with friends. One of Mike’s favorite things to do was spending time with family and friends at Indian Lake, Ohio having campfires and watching fireworks. He enjoyed home life as well, whether it was spending time cooking or landscaping. Mike loved dogs, especially poodles. He was intelligent, kind, compassionate, loving and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Boyd Funeral Home, 122 W. Columbia St., Marion, Ohio, 43302 on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM where the family will be receiving friends.
