MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion Area Convention & Visitor’s Bureau Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Leah Menzie has been named as the organization’s new Executive Director.
Board Chair Brenda Gilliam stated, “Leah brings a unique blend of leadership, creativity, marketing expertise, and community passion to the role. With a professional background spanning leadership, administration, branding, photography, marketing, and communications, she has built a reputation for connecting with people, casting vision, and creating meaningful experiences that inspire and engage.”
As a creative entrepreneur and owner of Journey Photography, Menzie has spent years helping individuals, families, and organizations tell their stories through compelling visual storytelling and intentional branding. Her experience in marketing, social media strategy, content creation, and community engagement equips her with a strong understanding of how to promote destinations and build meaningful connections.
In addition to her professional experience, she is known for her servant leadership, collaborative spirit, and deep commitment to the Marion community. She is passionate about highlighting the people, places, businesses, and experiences that make Marion special, and she is excited to help position the area as a destination where visitors feel welcomed and inspired to return.
Menzie shared, “I look forward to working alongside local businesses, community leaders, and tourism partners to strengthen Marion’s visibility, support economic growth, and celebrate all the area has to offer.”

Menzie begins her position at the Marion Area CVB on Monday, July 6.
