MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)— UPRISING, a high-energy local teen rock and roll cover band, has quickly captured the attention of local music lovers since their formation on February 4, 2024. The band, composed of Brooklyn Wallace (vocals/guitar), Sophia Raimo (drums), Keenan Jester (bass), and Wyatt Fryman (guitar), showcases an impressive repertoire that spans from ’80s rock to 2000s grunge, covering iconic artists such as AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Fleetwood Mac, Greta Van Fleet, Heart, Ozzy Osbourne, Tool, and many more.

The band made its live debut on August 10, 2024, at The OK Café in Marion, opening for the popular local act Sneaky Pete and the Players.

Some standout moments for Uprising in 2025 included their performances at the Marion Strongest Town Celebration, Marion’s 3rd Thursday Street Festival, and the Marion Popcorn Festival, where they had the honor of opening for legendary rock band Quiet Riot.

As 2026 unfolds, Uprising shows no signs of slowing down, with eight shows already under their belt. Highlights include performances at Quaker Steak & Lube Bike Night, the Marion Palace Theatre, Wyanstock Music Festival, and Riverbend Family Campground. The band has 14 more performances lined up for the year, with exciting appearances scheduled at events such as the Lancaster Festival, King of Clubs, Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival, and again at the Marion Popcorn Festival.
