WALDO, OH, (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect following a fatal hit-and-run crash on U.S. 23 north of Waldo.
According to law enforcement, the suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall, who was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap and a white shirt. Authorities believe the suspect may have removed the white shirt since he was last seen.
The suspect was reportedly last seen on the south end of Waldo and is believed to be traveling with a child between the ages of 5 and 9.
Officials are urging the public not to approach anyone matching the description. Instead, anyone who sees the suspect or has information about his whereabouts should immediately contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office or the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The investigation into the fatal crash remains ongoing. Additional details about the victim and the circumstances surrounding the crash have not yet been released.
