MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)— The Ohio State University at Marion will host an Engineering Open House, sponsored by Cenovus Energy, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Library Classroom Building on campus, 1465 Mount Vernon Ave., in Marion, offering prospective students, families, employers, and community members an inside look at the campus’s growing engineering technology program.
According to event organizer and Ohio State Marion Director of Development and Community Relations Cathy Gerber, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Ohio State Marion’s latest engineering updates; listen to an engaging industry leader panel discussion; take part in self-guided tours; meet the campus’s award-winning engineering faculty; and engage with current students through hands-on demonstrations.
“These activities are designed to help guests discover how Ohio State Marion can support prospective students in shaping a successful engineering career and assist in filling the talent pipeline of regional businesses and industry,” said Gerber.
The open house will bring together students, educators, and regional employers to explore workforce needs and emerging opportunities in engineering and technology fields. Heavy appetizers will be served, encouraging informal conversation and networking throughout the evening.
The event is sponsored by Cenovus Energy, reflecting the ongoing collaboration between Ohio State Marion and industry partners committed to strengthening the region’s technical workforce.
