MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Huber Machinery Museum will invite the community to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with “America 250: From Field to Future,” from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Huber Machinery Museum at the Marion County Fairgrounds, 220 E. Fairground St., Marion.
The special open house, themed “Honoring Our Past, Cultivating Our Future,” will explore the connection between agriculture, innovation, and American progress.
Visitors can follow the museum’s “Innovation Trail: Hay Rake to the Moon” and learn about Marion’s Edward Huber and his contributions to American agriculture and machinery.
The afternoon will feature history, storytelling, activities, and entertainment for visitors of all ages, along with lemonade and popcorn.
The Huber Machinery Museum showcases Huber farm tractors and machinery, threshers, road graders and rollers, as well as the history of the Marion Steam Shovel Company and Marion Power Shovel Company.
The museum is open Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m., March through November.
