MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)— After a distinguished career spanning nearly four decades, Larry Yoder is officially retiring from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service to the community.
Yoder’s tenure with the department totals 38 years of service, during which he served as an Auxiliary Deputy. Throughout those years, he contributed countless hours to the department, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to public safety and the residents of Marion County.
In addition to his long-standing role as an Auxiliary Deputy, Yoder spent the last 16 years serving as the department’s ESORN/Property/Fleet Officer. In this capacity, he worked behind the scenes to ensure the Sheriff’s Office’s daily operations remained efficient and well-maintained.
“Larry’s commitment, dependability, and willingness to serve have made a lasting impact on our office, our employees, and the community we are honored to serve,” the Sheriff’s Office stated in a release announcing his retirement.
As Yoder transitions into his next chapter, colleagues and community members are celebrating his years of sacrifice and professional contributions. The department expressed its gratitude for his long-term dedication, noting that his presence will be missed throughout the halls of the Sheriff’s Office.
