James F. Pfeiffer, age 88 of Marion, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Embassy of Marion.

Jim was born on February 8, 1936 to the late Michael Joseph and Myrtle Lenore (McClaskey) Pfeiffer in Marion County, Ohio.

He retired after working more than 30 years as a Tow Motor Operator for BF Goodrich. Jim served our country in the United States Air Force. From 1974 – 1975, he served as a deputy at the Green Camp Auxiliary. Also, he had a program on TV-39 called “Time for Hope” for 10 years. He will be missed by family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Michael J. Pfeiffer, II, Robert Pfeiffer and John J. Pfeiffer and his sisters: Betty Burroughs, Mary Pfeiffer, and Judy Beckley.

Those who will cherish his memories include his children: Diana Pfeiffer, Cindy (Paul Ray) Bussa, Amy Boggs, all from Marion, Ohio and Andy Pfeiffer of Dayton, Ohio; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Nikki Mills, Joe Mills (his girlfriend, Tiffany and her child, Emma), Joshua (Sarah) Nichols (their children: Kolton Carmony and Remy Nichols), Tony Nichols, Matthew (Rebakah) Bussa (their children: Logan Bussa and Alayna Bussa) and Jessica Prather (her child, Noah Prather).

Friends and family may come to honor Jim’s life from 12pm to 1pm on July 9, 2024 at Boyd Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow starting at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Phillips officiating. A burial will follow at Marion Cemetery with Marion Area Veterans Council doing military honors at cemetery.
