Sharon Arlene Huckaba, age 88 of Marion, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Ohio Living Sarah Moore in Delaware, Ohio.

A lifelong resident of Marion, Sharon was born on April 21, 1936, to the late Herman & Opal Hinton. At age 18, she met Mayhon “Huck” Huckaba, a handsome and quiet man from Tennessee who swept her off her feet. On May 28, 1955, she wed the love of her life, and together they built a life centered on family. They celebrated nearly 66 years of marriage until his
passing in 2021.

Her favorite moments were family vacations at the beach, especially in the Outer Banks with the grandchildren. She loved each of her children unconditionally, but when she was with her
grandchildren, she radiated love, pride, and pure joy. She will be remembered for hosting large family dinners, her amazing Southern-style home-cooked meals, her affinity for Cadillacs, and
being a fierce and often unbeatable Scrabble player.

She is survived by her children Linda (Rick) Keen, Breck (Linda), and Lisa (Vince) Brammer; grandchildren Leslie (Matt) Howell, Mark Keen, Macy Brammer, and Noah (Karla) Brammer;
great-grandchildren Gabriel & Harper Howell; sisters-in-law Elaine Hinton, Annie Hinton, and Cheryl Coolidge; brothers-in-law Robert Huckaba and Bill (Betty) Huckaba; numerous nieces
and nephews; and a special friend Bob Johnson.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, her daughter, Brenda Huckaba; sisters Jean Ferrall-Bish and Rita Wurth; and brothers Herman Hinton, Jr., Robert Hinton, Don Hinton, and Larry Hinton.

Family and friends are invited to Boyd Funeral Home from 11 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, August 20, to celebrate Sharon’s life. A funeral service will begin at 1 pm at the funeral home followed
by a burial at Marion Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Sharon’s memory to the Marion Senior Center. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Huckaba family.
