MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Marion County is set for a weekend full of festive activities and exciting events, offering something for everyone to enjoy.

The Polar Express Movie at Marion Palace Theatre

The Marion Palace Theatre will be screening “The Polar Express” this weekend. This beloved holiday film tells the story of a young boy who, skeptical of Santa Claus, is surprised to see a train stop outside his window on Christmas Eve. He embarks on a thrilling journey to the North Pole, where he learns about the true spirit of Christmas. Showtimes are Friday, December 20 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 21 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, December 22 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $5 general admission and $3 for Palace members with a card. Buckeye Winter Blast Indoor Short Track Motorcycle and Quad Racing

For those seeking a bit more excitement, the Buckeye Winter Blast Indoor Short Track Motorcycle and Quad Racing event will take place on Saturday, December 21, at the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum, 220 E Fairground St, Marion. The pit gates open at 1 p.m., with registration from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Practice begins at 5 p.m., followed by heats at 6:30 p.m. Spectator gates open at 4 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for kids, and free for children 5 and under.
