MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion Police Department recently announced its 2024 Officer and Supervisor of the Year, both of whom have made a significant positive impact in the community.

Officer of the Year: Matt Mauldin
Officer Matt Mauldin has been named the Officer of the Year for 2024. He was nominated by his second shift supervisors and ultimately selected through a vote by all department members. Officer Mauldin joined the Marion Police Department in August 2021 after graduating from the Marion Technical College Academy. Prior to becoming a police officer, he served as a dispatcher at the Marion County Combined Dispatch Center.

Supervisor of the Year: Erica Delp
Lieutenant Erica Delp has been honored as the 2024 Supervisor of the Year. Like Officer Mauldin, she was chosen through a vote of her peers. Lt. Delp began her career with the Marion Police Department in May 2016 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2023. She is a proud graduate of the Delaware County Area Career Center Academy.
