COLUMBUS, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—State Representative Riordan McClain (R-Nevada) was unanimously elected by his colleagues this week to serve as Majority Whip of the Ohio House of Representatives.

As Majority Whip, McClain will play a pivotal role in monitoring legislation and working with colleagues to advance key measures on the House floor.

“I’m honored by the support of my colleagues to be entrusted with this responsibility to join the leadership team in the Ohio House,” McClain said. “I’m eager to collaborate with my colleagues to deliver meaningful results for the people we serve.”

McClain is currently serving his fourth full term in the Ohio House of Representatives, having been appointed in January 2018 during the 132nd General Assembly. He represents the 87th House District, which includes all of Crawford, Morrow, and Wyandot Counties, and a portion of Marion County.
