MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)— Several local organizations, are gearing up to host a vital community event, the Drug Take Back Day. This initiative, aimed at promoting the safe and responsible disposal of unused medications, is set to take place on October 28th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Marion Medical Campus, located at 1050 Delaware Ave, accessible through the Blue Entrance.
Drug Take Back Day offers an opportunity for individuals to safely and securely dispose of their unused or expired medications, with no questions asked. This event not only helps declutter medicine cabinets but also plays a crucial role in ensuring the environmentally friendly disposal of pharmaceuticals, preventing them from entering our water supply or adversely impacting the ecosystem.
In addition to the safe disposal, all containers collected during the event will be recycled, and participants can rest assured that their identities will be protected throughout the process.
Ohio Health Marion Medical Campus is joined by several local organizations in hosting this event, including:
- ADAMH (Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board)
- MARMET (Marion-Metrich Drug Task Force)
- DKMM (Delaware, Knox, Marion, Morrow Solid Waste District)
- Marion County Recycling and Litter Prevention
- Aqua Ohio Inc.
