MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Kingston Residence of Marion will host its 13th Annual Boomer and Senior Expo on Friday, May 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event has become a popular annual community gathering, drawing hundreds of seniors for a day of fun, food, and fellowship.
This year’s expo, themed “Honoring Hometown Heroes,” will feature a special ceremony at noon. The ceremony will include a gun salute and taps performed by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard, along with the singing of the national anthem and God Bless America. Marion City Police Chief Jay McDonald will be the special speaker.
Attendees can browse among 60 vendors offering products, services, and valuable information relevant to boomers and seniors. Live radio remotes will be broadcast by Country Legends 1540am/107.5fm /Iconic Rock Q92.7 WQEL, CrawfordCountyNow.com, MarionCountyNow.com. The Marion County Red Cross and Marion Area Transit will assist with parking and transportation for seniors.
The expo will also feature a free lunch provided by The Meadows of Marion food truck and Presidential Post Acute Food Truck, as well as an ice cream social, door prizes, and numerous giveaways. Seniors will have the chance to win door prizes from participating vendors. Special appearances by Senior Celebrities and live presentations by artist Jackie Pennington are also planned.
