MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The American Red Cross has issued an urgent call for blood donors this summer, citing a critical need for donations. In an effort to encourage more people to give, donors who give blood by June 9 will receive an exclusive Tetris® and American Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last.
The Red Cross has planned several blood drives in Marion for the first week of June, with more scheduled throughout the summer. The need for blood is constant, and these drives are a vital part of ensuring that hospitals have the supplies they need to treat patients.
The list of upcoming blood drives includes:
- Tuesday, June 4th at Kingston Residence of Marion, 464 James Way, and Star Turbine, 370 W. Fairground St.
- Wednesday, June 5th at Marion Women’s Club Home, 1126 E. Center St.
- Friday, June 7th at The Alber Red Cross Center, 1849 Summerset Drive.
