MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—A 28-year-old man lost his life in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Marion County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 10:23 p.m. in Marion Township.
The victim, identified as Jordan Tunnicliff, was driving a Chevrolet north on U.S. 23 when he crossed the median into oncoming traffic.
His vehicle collided with the rear axles of a Freightliner, which was towing a trailer driven by an operator from Oregon.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced Tunnicliff deceasd at the scene.
The driver of the Freightliner was unharmed in the incident.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Tunnicliff was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and they suspect impairment may have played a role in the incident.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
