SANDUSKY, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Cedar Point, the self-proclaimed “Roller Coaster Capital of the World,” announced Wednesday it intends to hire 7,000 seasonal associates as it prepares for the 2026 summer season.
The hiring push is part of a broader “National Hiring Week” organized by parent company Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, which aims to fill more than 50,000 positions across its North American properties. Cedar Point is scheduled to officially open its gates on Saturday, May 9.
Park officials noted that this year’s team will support several high-profile attractions, including the continued operation of the record-breaking Siren’s Curse tilt coaster, which debuted in 2025.
“It may be freezing outside today, but we’re already thinking warm summer thoughts,” said Colleen Brady, park manager of Cedar Point. “We have a wide variety of positions for every skill level, from food and beverage to ride operations and security.”
Seasonal pay for most positions starts at $15 per hour, with select roles beginning at $13 per hour. Benefits for associates include flexible scheduling, free park admission for themselves and friends, scholarship opportunities, and on-site housing for those who qualify.
The park will host a week-long in-person hiring event from Feb. 14 through Feb. 22 at the Cedar Point Hiring & Training Center on Cleveland Road West. Under the “Rapid Hiring Program,” qualified candidates may apply and be hired on the same day. Remote interviews are also available via the park’s website.
Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, following its recent merger, now operates 41 amusement and water parks across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
