MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Friends of Marion DD Levy Committee is set to host a Celebrity Kickball game at the Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD) Bigford Field at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
Hand-picked celebrities from the Marion County community have been competing for the Ultimate Celebrity title for about a month. These celebrities earn points for various activities, including donation collections, creative nicknames, best uniform on game night, most social media hype, and largest/loudest fan base.
The celebrity with the most points at the end of the night will receive a celebrity trophy and bragging rights. Points are awarded based on participation in each category, making the game a fun way to support MCBDD and the Levy Committee.
Twelve local celebrities are participating: Amick “The Freight Train” Olson, Amy “The Blonde Rocket” Roston, Ben “Pork National Bank” Albright, Chris “Kick Commander” Adkins, Heidi “Kick It Like It’s Hot” Jones, Jeff “Dr. Boogie” Ruth, Jim “The Knickered Kicker” Parobek, “Kick Kat” Kate McCleese, “Kicking Kenny” Rittenour, Matt “in the Hat” Primmer, Natalie “The Kick Matters” Longmeier, and Carol “The Squirrel” Daily.
The community is invited to join this fun event. Celebrities will be paired with Special Olympic athletes to round out the teams. The festivities will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m., with free hotdogs and chips served.
The Marion County Board of DD is located at 2387 Harding Highway East, Marion, Ohio. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Friends of Marion DD Levy Committee.
