MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), a worldwide organization dedicated to sharing the gospel with children, is seeking volunteers for its local West Central Ohio Chapter. The group aims to reach children with the gospel, disciple them, and connect them with a local church.
CEF’s mission is to reach “Every Child, Every Nation, Every Day.” They accomplish this through local ministries such as the Good News Club and the 5-Day Club, which bring age-appropriate lessons, songs, and games to children in various settings including homes, schools, and community centers. The organization reported that more than 29.2 million children worldwide heard the gospel through their efforts last year.
According to Jan Bihn, Interim County Coordinator for the West Central Ohio Chapter, the mission is reliant on volunteers. “We are committed to leading children to be in God’s Word every day,” Bihn said. “But this mission takes people—workers on the front lines as well as a strong support team behind them.”
CEF places a strong emphasis on child protection, requiring all workers to undergo a national background check and a thorough application process.
The West Central Ohio Chapter provides Christ-centered programs and resources to help individuals and churches make an impact in the lives of children. For those interested in learning more or getting involved, contact the chapter at 740-341-7492 or visit their website.
