MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Presidential Post-Acute in Marion, Ohio, has been a trusted part of the community since it opened in 1983. The facility provides high-quality care for residents, including those recovering from hospital stays and those needing long-term support. In 2019, the facility was purchased by PACS, continuing its long tradition of excellence.
“Our long-term residents have been here for many years, while short-term stays typically last 30 to 60 days,” said Michelle Berg, Director of Marketing. “We’re proud to provide care to all our residents and make Marion a welcoming place for everyone.”
Presidential Post-Acute is also Marion County’s only contracted facility offering both short- and long-term care to veterans with VA approval, making it an important resource for the community.
The facility offers a wide range of services to meet residents’ needs, including skilled nursing, wound care, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and nutrition guidance. Presidential Post-Acute has earned a five-star Medicare rating for many years, reflecting the dedication and care of its staff. Every day, the team reviews resident needs and works to ensure each person receives the best possible care.

Celebrating Leadership and Milestones
Shannon Kellogg, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, celebrated her 20th year at the facility in 2025, highlighting the stability and experience of the leadership team that ensures residents receive consistent, compassionate care.
Activities and Events That Bring Joy
Presidential Post-Acute goes beyond medical care to create a lively and supportive environment for residents. The facility hosts regular activities and events, often partnering with local organizations. Recent highlights included a car show that raised funds for residents’ Christmas gifts, ensuring everyone enjoys the holiday season. Monthly events, from trick-or-treat celebrations to visits from Santa, help residents feel at home and connected to the community.
A Strong Partner in the Community
Presidential Post-Acute is also an important part of Marion’s economy, employing about 120 staff members and supporting local businesses. The facility works with local contractors on renovations and partners with schools, downtown organizations, and community groups to give back whenever possible.
Students from Marion Technical College and Tri-Rivers gain hands-on experience at the facility through CNA and STNA programs, with the hope of joining the team after graduation. Community members can also participate in events like the monthly Connection Brunch, which provides resources and support for residents and families.
