MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—A visit from Jolly Old Saint Nick is next up on the holiday schedule at The Explore-It-Torium in Marion.
Cookies with Santa is scheduled from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the children’s museum located at 244 S. Main St. in Marion. Children can tell Santa what they want for Christmas and have their photos taken with him. Families can also enjoy cookies and juice.
Admission to The Explore-It-Torium costs $6 and includes the visit with Santa plus full access to the entire facility.
While children are enjoying their time with Santa and playing games and engaging in other activities at The Explore-It-Torium, parents can spend some time shopping at Re-MARCA-ble, the retail store located inside the facility.
Re-MARCA-ble features merchandise made by local vendors and apparel and other items from the Re-MARCA-bly Made brand, which is owned by Marca Industries, Inc., a private, nonprofit organization that provides habilitation services, employment training, and employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. Marca Industries is the parent company of The Explore-It-Torium and Re-MARCA-ble.
The Explore-It-Torium will wrap up its holiday event offerings at the end of December when it hosts the annual Noon Years Eve Celebration from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, Dec. 31. The Noon Years Eve event offers families with young children an opportunity to ring in the new year without having to stay up late to do so.
Noon Years Eve at The Explore-It-Torium will feature games for kids and their families, music, a countdown to the noon hour, and a balloon drop to celebrate the New Year. Admission to The Explore-It-Torium costs $6 and includes full access to the entire facility.
