MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The city of Marion has announced that curbside recycling collections will be discontinued effective June 26, 2026.

In response to this change, the city, in partnership with DKMM, will provide a convenient drop-off recycling location for residents.

Starting Monday, July 6th, residents can bring their recyclables to the new drop-off site at 960 W Center St. The location will be open Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Accepted recyclables will remain the same as those previously collected through curbside pickup.

Residents wondering what to do with their blue recycling bins have a couple of options. They can keep the bins for sorting recycling materials at home or for transporting items to the drop-off location. For those who prefer not to keep their recycling bins, they may place them curbside on their regular collection day, and city crews will collect them.

Meanwhile, curbside collection of yard waste will continue as scheduled, taking place the day after regular trash pickup. For any questions or concerns, residents can contact the central garage at 740-382-1479.
