DELAWARE, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Delaware County judge who sentenced former Bucyrus attorney Adam Stone has become the focus of a motion claiming he violated a protection order.

The developments emerged as attorneys representing a 25-year-old woman filed two motions in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas on Friday.

The first motion seeks to hold Judge James Schuck in contempt for what is described as “multiple, willful, and knowing violations” of court orders issued on November 25, 2025, and January 12, 2026.

Schuck, 50, voluntarily took a leave of absence in November following the civil stalking allegations, although no criminal charges have yet been filed. An ongoing investigation into the potential rape charges continues.

According to the motions, the alleged victim claims that Schuck violated the protection orders by using a LinkedIn account under the name “Jim Smith.” The profile states that the user is an employee of the “U.S. Courts.” It is alleged that the IP address linked to the account accessed the victim’s LinkedIn profile multiple times during the period when the protection order was active.

In addition to the motion regarding contempt, the woman’s legal team is requesting a continuance of the full hearing scheduled for April 2. This request is based on recent developments that suggest Schuck has made unwanted contact with her via the social media platform. The motion emphasizes the need for a comprehensive police investigation to address the recent allegations of stalking by Schuck and to uncover the identity of the LinkedIn user.

Schuck’s defense attorneys have countered these claims by stating that he has maintained his pseudonymous LinkedIn profile since 2021 due to threats made against him by a criminal defendant. They assert that the account was used solely to view the victim’s public LinkedIn pages in connection with her involvement in the case.

In their defense, Schuck’s attorneys argued that the alleged victim has not claimed he sent any direct communications through LinkedIn, such as messages or connection requests.

A statement released by his legal team categorically denies the allegations, asserting Schuck’s intention to contest them vigorously through the legal process.
