MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Harding High School senior Reagan Tway was named the Scholar Student of the Week and awarded a $500 scholarship from The Ohio State University at Marion. The award was presented by Gavin Smith, admissions counselor at Ohio State Marion, John Maharry, associate dean and professor of mathematics at Ohio State Marion, along with Jarrod Moody and Mackenzie Tackett, both Harding graduates and current Ohio State Marion students.
Tway exemplifies academic excellence and well-rounded achievement both inside and outside the classroom. With an impressive 4.00 unweighted GPA and a 5.682 weighted GPA, Tway has consistently challenged expectations by excelling in Advanced Placement and College Credit Plus courses.
Beyond academics, Tway has been deeply involved in extracurricular activities, performing in the band and competing on the tennis and robotics teams throughout high school. This dedication across multiple disciplines highlights Tway’s ability to balance a demanding schedule with determination and enthusiasm.
