MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Palace Cultural Arts Association is inviting the community to celebrate the holiday season with screenings of the modern Christmas classic “Elf” at the historic Marion Palace Theatre this weekend.
The film, starring Will Ferrell, follows the journey of Buddy, an oversized human raised as an elf at the North Pole. Buddy travels to New York City to find his biological father, a cynical businessman in need of holiday spirit. The film is rated PG and has a run time of one hour and 37 minutes.
Showtimes are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, Dec. 21, the theater will again offer screenings at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The Sunday afternoon matinee will feature open captions, if available.
Admission is $5 for the general public and $3 for PCAA members who present their membership card. Tickets are sold exclusively at the door, with the box office opening 45 minutes prior to each showtime.
A variety of concessions, including soda, water, candy, and popcorn, will be available for $3 each.
