WALDO, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—A fatal shooting in Delaware County early Sunday morning has left one person dead, as reported by the sheriff’s office. Deputies responded to a residence in the 9000 block of Norton-Waldo Road in Marlboro Township following a report of shots fired at approximately 3AM.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a male victim deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed.

Authorities have taken several individuals into custody at the scene as they work to unravel the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Charges are anticipated, with detectives also seeking additional individuals who may have fled the area before deputies arrived.

As a precaution, neighbors were advised to shelter in place while the property was secured by the tactical unit. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is aiding in the ongoing investigation.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 22-year-old Bruno Vasquez Munguia, in connection to Sunday morning’s fatal shooting on Norton-Waldo Road in northern Delaware County. He may be in the Columbus area, or possibly Indiana.
