MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion Palace Theatre will host an evening of high-energy gospel and soul as Nikki D & The Sisters of Thunder take the stage at the May Pavilion on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026.
The Ohio-based family ensemble is led by powerhouse vocalist and guitarist Nikki D, who has been dubbed the “Jimi Hendrix of Sacred Steel” by Guitar World magazine. The group is nationally recognized for its unique fusion of traditional gospel roots with soul, funk, and the “sacred steel” guitar tradition—a style characterized by vocal-like riffs and experimental tones.
The performance is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are priced at $24 and are available for purchase now.
The event is sponsored by the Peace & Freedom Committee and the Marion Community Foundation.
Nikki D & The Sisters of Thunder are known for their “revival-like” live shows and have previously shared stages with national acts such as CeeLo Green and The Rance Allen Group. Their upcoming Marion performance promises a blend of family chemistry and infectious energy designed to move both hearts and feet.
Tickets can be purchased at the Marion Palace Theatre Box Office, located at 276 W. Center St. in downtown Marion, by phone at 740-383-2101, or online at marionpalace.org. The box office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
