MOUNT GILEAD, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Lt. Christina High of the Morrow County Sheriff’s Department celebrated a significant achievement today as she graduated from the prestigious Public Safety Leadership Academy.
The academy, a joint effort by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, The Ohio State Highway Patrol, and The Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs, aims to provide advanced training for law enforcement leaders in the state of Ohio.
The 11-week program is designed to offer college-level instruction in various aspects of public safety leadership.
Lt. High and 31 other law enforcement professionals from across Ohio participated in sessions that covered a wide range of topics, including contemporary policing, personal leadership styles, and effective strategies for leading others. Key courses included public budgeting, human resource management, strategic planning, program implementation and evaluation, organizational theory and culture, communications, and social media.
At the graduation ceremony, Lt. High was joined by Captain Richard Crabtree, Chief Deputy Troy Landon, and Sheriff John L. Hinton. The event marked an important milestone in Lt. High’s career and highlighted her dedication to advancing her skills and knowledge in the field of public safety leadership.
