UNION COUNTY, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Union County Sheriff’s Office has issued an urgent public appeal for assistance in locating a 24-year-old man wanted in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred earlier this year.
Authorities are searching for Diego Andres Parra Vega, who faces charges of vehicular manslaughter and vehicular homicide. The charges stem from a collision on May 23, 2026, at the intersection of State Route 739 and Winnemac Road in Jackson Township.
According to investigators, 27-year-old Logan Michael Knapp of Caledonia was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the time of the crash. Knapp was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 30-year-old Chelsey Rena Kearns, sustained serious injuries in the incident and was transported via MedFlight to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for treatment.
A warrant for Parra Vega’s arrest was officially issued on September 9, 2026. He is described as 5’7″ tall, weighing approximately 176 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. His last known location was in Dublin, Ohio.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office is urging the public to report any information regarding Parra Vega’s whereabouts by calling (937) 645-4110. Officials emphasize that citizens should not attempt to apprehend him themselves and should instead contact law enforcement immediately.
