MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—Local animal lovers looking to add a furry friend to their family this holiday season have a new opportunity to do so at a significantly reduced cost.
The Marion Area Humane Society has announced its annual “Furry Festive Holiday Special,” offering an adoption package for a fixed fee of $50 per animal. The special pricing is made possible through a generous sponsorship from the Marion Country Club’s “Pars for Pets” fundraising event.
The $50 adoption fee covers essential services for the animal, including all required vaccinations, spaying or neutering, and a microchip for permanent identification. This price represents a substantial reduction from the shelter’s standard adoption costs.
The special began on November 29 and will continue until the dedicated funds from the Marion Country Club’s event have been utilized. The shelter encourages interested adopters to act quickly to take advantage of the limited-time offer.
The shelter is located at 2264 Richland Road in Marion. Their hours are Wednesday-Friday, 1-6p.m., Saturday, 12-5 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Their phone number is 740-389-6548.
