MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion City Council will ring in the new year by officially seating its leadership for the 2026-2027 term.
In accordance with Marion City Code 111, the council is scheduled to meet on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, for a formal swearing-in ceremony and subsequent reorganizational meeting. The event will take place at Marion City Hall, located at 233 W. Center St.
Doors to City Hall will open to the public at 11:30 a.m. The swearing-in ceremony is slated to begin at noon, followed immediately by the reorganizational meeting. During this session, the council will establish its structure and leadership for the upcoming two-year term.
