The board appointed James Corbeil as the district’s new treasurer, succeeding Jolene Carter, who is retiring after years of dedicated service to Marion City Schools. Corbeil comes to Marion City Schools from Pleasant Local Schools, where he served as treasurer for five years and led the district to earn multiple Auditor of State Awards from the Ohio Auditor of State, a prestigious recognition given to fewer than 5% of Ohio’s public entities for excellence in financial reporting and fiscal accountability. He will officially begin his new role Aug. 1.
