MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion community came together in an inspiring show of generosity and support at a recent Purse Bingo event hosted by Cornerstone Caregiving and Meadows of Marion. Held in honor of the Alzheimer’s Association’s nationwide initiative, The Longest Day, the event raised over $4,700 to support the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

The lively fundraiser brought in $2,300 through community participation, with the day taking a heartwarming turn when Bradley Heller, Administrator at Meadows of Marion, surprised attendees by announcing that Meadows would match all funds raised, doubling the impact to an impressive $4,700.

“We’re proud to be part of such a compassionate and giving community,” said Heller. “Alzheimer’s affects so many families, and it’s important that we do our part to keep memories alive.”

The event was organized by Tiffany Wilt, representative from Cornerstone Caregiving, and Dani Patrick, with Meadows of Marion. Both played key roles in bringing together volunteers, donors, and participants for a day filled with fun, prizes, and purpose.

Special thanks were extended to all attendees, donors, and local businesses that contributed purses and prizes to make the event possible.
