MARION, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities is set to host its annual Golden Gala on Friday, March 14, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Tri-Rivers Career Center. The event aims to create an inclusive celebration for community members with developmental disabilities.
Last year’s gala saw 172 guests with developmental disabilities and nearly 300 volunteers. This year’s event promises a red carpet walk lined with paparazzi, a DJ, dancing, a delicious meal, and opportunities to make new friends.
The community can get involved in three ways: registering a guest with developmental disabilities and spreading the word, signing up to volunteer, or becoming a sponsor through business or personal donations. The deadline to participate is March 4.
To register, volunteer, or donate, visit marioncountydd.org or 2025_DDPROM_SponsorshipForm.
The Marion County Board of DD extends its gratitude to premier sponsor OhioHealth, the United Way for their support with registration and sponsorships, Tri-Rivers for the use of their facility, and all participating student groups. This event is truly a community effort.
