MARION COUNTY, OH (MARION COUNTY NOW)—The Marion County Park District is set to host a full schedule of outdoor activities and educational programs this week, offering opportunities for all ages to engage with local nature.

Get on your bikes on Tuesday, June 24, with “Biking in Nature” at the Decliff Section of the Marion Tallgrass Trail. Participants are invited to meet at 10 a.m. for a leisurely ride.

On Wednesday, June 25, the “Friends of the Prairie Parks Volunteer Meeting” will be held at 7 p.m. at Heritage Hall (Marion Historical Society). This meeting is for individuals interested in supporting local parks through volunteering and community projects.

Intern Naturalist Riley will lead a “Scavenger Hunt” at the Marion Tallgrass Trail on Thursday, June 26, at 6 p.m., inviting participants to discover hidden natural treasures.

Friday, June 27, features “Kiddos at the Park Outdoor Preschool” from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. This hands-on nature learning hour is for preschoolers ages 3-6. Registration is required, and only 15 spots are available.

The week concludes on Saturday, June 28, with “Flower Bracelet Craft” led by Intern Naturalist Riley at the Marion Tallgrass Trail at 6 p.m. Attendees will collect flowers and create nature-inspired bracelets.

The Park District encourages the community to come out and explore the local trails and engage in the planned activities.
